Apple today announced that the new design for Apple’s Maps app will be available today in Spain and Portugal, and by the end of the year also in Italy and Australia.
The revamped Maps app offers richer landscape details such as roads, parking lots, parks, buildings, airports and more. To obtain map data, Apple uses its vehicles equipped with LiDAR sensors and cameras.

Apple has been working for over a year to complete the rollout of the new Maps app in the United States, and the process concluded in January 2020 with expansion to the Southeastern and Central United States. Now finally it seems the turn of Europe and by the end of the year it will also be available in Italy.
